Ayurveda is an ancient medical science which is said to be as old as life on this earth. It is believed that Lord Brahma, the creator, first passed on the knowledge of Ayurveda to the seers and it was practiced for generations before it was written by Acharya’s in a text called Samhita’s about 5000 years ago. Ayurveda texts are regarded as world’s oldest written texts on Medical science. It is still a mystery that how ancient seers discovered microscopic details of human body without sophisticated medical instruments. Ayurveda deals with the healthy lifestyle, diagnosis and treatment in very detailed and logical manner. Ayurveda takes holistic approach and takes Sthool (Gross) as well Sukshma (Subtle) body into consideration when treating a disease.
Ayurveda may seem complicated to understand and difficult to practice but it can be practiced at home with the easiest, simplest methods, with readily available resources and without the need of expensive devices or sophisticated infrastructure. In short, one can stay healthy and happy with whatever is available to them. Many of us still lacks the complete and accurate knowledge of Ayurveda and thus it is not yet part of the daily life of wider population. The purpose of this course is to educate, increase the awareness of the Ayurvedic lifestyle and create the group of people who can learn more and practice Ayurveda together.
The course is delivered by Vaidya Tejaswini Bhale- Borse who is contributing to the field of Ayurveda as a physician, educator and researcher since 18 years. Vaidya Tejaswini is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine (B.A.M.S), has done post-graduation in Panchakarma (P.G.P.P) and diploma in Yoga (D.Y.A).
